Rubella during your pregnancy

 
           Rubella is a viral infection in the pregnant woman if the fetus to maternal rubella infection during pregnancy. May result in a baby with disabilities including disorders of the eye (cataracts, glaucoma, small eyes) disorders of the heart, hearing impairment, fetal growth is slow, spleen, liver, anemia, low platelets, or have died in the womb.

Symptoms of rubella include:
- Swollen glands or lymph nodes
- Joint pain and swelling

- Nasal congestion
- Pain in the testicles
- Loss of appetite
- Fever
- Headache
- Rash

 

Protection against rubella
1.      Vaccine MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), first at age 9-15 months
2.      Women of reproductive age should be vaccinated against rubella immunity is to check whether or not after vaccination, the birth control for about 3 months and then let the child.
3.    Avoid touching or closer to the patients with rubella.
4.    If mothers who are pregnant within 1-3 months detected as rubella consult a doctor.
